2021 College Top 25

Florida, which finished last season tied for the best record in the country, opens the 2021 season ranked No. 1 in the Baseball America Top 25.

The Gators went 16-1 in 2020 and were ranked No. 1 when the season was halted. They return most of that team, including eight regulars in the lineup and every pitcher who made an appearance.

This is the fifth time in 11 years Florida has ranked No. 1 in the Preseason Top 25. In each of the four previous times the Gators have been ranked No. 1 entering the season, they have advanced to the College World Series. Only Texas (six times) has been ranked Preseason No. 1 more times in the 40-year history of the Baseball America Top 25.

UCLA follows Florida at No. 2, its highest preseason ranking since it ranked No. 2 in 2011. Texas Tech, Mississippi and Virginia round out the top five.

Led by Florida, the SEC has nine teams in the Preseason Top 25, the most of any conference. The ACC follows with seven ranked teams.
