Baseball America's College Top 25
Florida remains No. 1 in the Baseball America Top 25 after a 3-0 week. After a new team claimed the top spot in the rankings in each of the first two weeks, the Gators are the first team to retain the No. 1 title this season.
After rainouts cost it both of its midweek games, Florida swept Troy to improve to 11-0 on the season. The Gators have matched the best start to a season in program history. They also started 11-0 in 1989 and 2002.
Texas Tech and Vanderbilt again follow Vanderbilt at Nos. 2 and 3. Georgia and UCLA climb to Nos. 4 and 5, marking the highest ranking of the season for both teams.
Four teams join the Top 25 this week. Long Beach State won a series against Mississippi State, adding to its series wins against California and Wake Forest, and leads the debutants at No. 17. Tennessee follows at No. 18 after improving to 12-0, which is tied for the most wins in the country. Texas Christian and Clemson also join the rankings at Nos. 22 and 23.
Falling out of the Top 25 are Arizona, Georgia Tech, North Carolina and Oklahoma State.
The SEC leads all conferences with nine teams in the Top 25. The ACC follows with six representatives.
